WHALE WATCHING

May – November

Enjoy open ocean whale watching from mid May to early October, and sheltered water whale watching of humpbacks and their babies inside Jervis Bay from mid October to late November.

 

Join a whale watching cruise departing from Huskisson (contact Werner and Chloe at Jervis Bay Wild for whale watching, dolphin tours and other cruises), or watch from vantage points at nearby Culburra and Currarong.

SEE CHANGE JERVIS BAY ARTS FESTIVAL

SeeChange is a vibrant winter event celebrating the creativity, culture and cuisine of the beautiful Jervis Bay region. Spread over ten days, the festival gives you the choice of weekend and mid-week cultural getaways. Encompassing visual and performing arts, music, cabaret, comedy, magic, children's theatre, dance, food and some weirdly wonderful things that defy categories, SeeChange has something to enrich and entertain minds of all ages.

HUSKISSON MARKETS

Second Sunday of each month

The Huskisson Market is a monthly market with something for everyone, right in the heart of the seaside town. They are held on the sporting ground adjacent to the Huskisson Bowling Club, on the second Sunday of each month, 7am to 1pm. You'll find live plants, unique arts and crafts, fresh produce, bric-a-brac and much more.

JERVIS BAY LONG COURSE WEEKEND

2020 event now postponed to: 

Saturday 20th – Sunday 21st November, 2021 - Callala Beach

​

Jervis Bay will once again play host to the Long Course Weekend first held in 2019 with more than 1,500 competitors expected to attend. The Long Course Weekend is now held in Callala Beach, a short 4 min drive or 7 min ride from Metta and Myaree.

 

Race three events in two days.  On Saturday morning complete the 4km Jervis Bay Swim or the 2km or 1km swim distance if you prefer.  On Saturday afternoon attention turns to the Jervis Bay Gran Fondo, a 90km cycle, although a 30km and 60km distance is also available. On Sunday long course athletes will complete The Jervis Bay Marathon, a 42.2km marathon. There is also a 21.1km, 10km and 5km run.

CALLALA MARKETS

One Saturday a month 8am-1pm

 

Callala’s Friendly Markets will be having a market with extra stalls, fantastic Christmas gifts and other goodies for all occasions. 

Located at the Callala Bay Community Centre on Emmet Street, Callala Bay.
