Frequently asked questions

How will I access the property on arrival?

Access is via a key safe. We will send you a pre-arrival email with everything  you need to know including directions to the houses, and will text you the key safe code on the day of your arrival.

We only have a small group, will you offer us a reduced rate?

Should you have a smaller group of four or less, we can offer Myaree as a two bedroom property at a reduced rate.  This offer excludes December, January and long weekends when demand for the property is high.  

Please contact us directly and we can provide you with the reduced tariff.

Are the homes suitable for young children?

Yes, absolutely. We love families and can provide a cot for your infant. We ask you to supervise young children at all times around the property. There are balconies upstairs (where we suggest children are not allowed) and water close by the houses

(where supervision is essential).

 

Is it warm enough for a winter stay?

Both Metta and Myaree are equipped with fireplaces and enough firewood for your stay.  The fires heat up the homes to a lovely cosy temperature in winter but of course, there are lounge throws if you want that extra cosy feeling.  We also provide winter weight quilts on the beds and electric blankets and portable heaters should you need.

 

Why can’t I bring my dog?

We are located in a serene bush location with no fences and a nature corridor. The property is therefore unsuitable for pets.

 

Is there space to park my boat?

Yes. There is ample space at Myaree for boat parking and additional off street parking at both Metta and Myaree. Myola boat ramp is a 2 minute drive from the property.

 

Is a BBQ provided?

Yes, both Metta and Myaree have a gas BBQ.  You do not require coals and we provide a good supply of gas so in the summer months you can have a BBQ cooked dinner every night of your stay if you wish.

Before making a booking with us, please be aware of the following policies.

 

  • Reservations require 100% payment at the time of the booking to reserve your dates.  

 

  • A $300 damage deposit is payable on booking. This will refunded shortly after your stay unless there is any damage to the property or cleaning over and above what is expected for your stay. 

 

  • Cancel within 24 hours of booking and 30 days before check-in to receive a full refund. Cancel up to 14 days before check in and receive a 50% refund (minus service fees). Cancel within 14 days of your stay and the reservation is non-refundable.

 

  • Check out is normally 10am, however if we don't have guests arriving straight after you, we're happy to extend this. Unfortunately we are unable to offer late check-out during the summer holiday period.

 

  • There are a couple of dates over the Xmas/NY period when our cleaners are not working. We therefore cannot accept bookings that check-out on Xmas Day, Boxing Day or NY Day.

  • Please note that we prefer 4 night bookings over Easter and 7 night bookings over the Christmas / New Year period, and may not accept shorter reservations during these dates.

 

 

 

Please treat Metta and Myaree as your own holiday house during your stay. We designed it with you in mind. We do however have a couple of rules to help keep both Metta and Myaree beautiful for you and the guests who follow you. 

 

  • Please respect our no party policy and keep noise to a minimum after 10pm

 

  • No pets

 

  • No smoking indoors

 

  • Please do not light fires outside as we live in a forest, but do enjoy our indoor fireplace. 

 

  • Please supervise your children at all times and never leave them unattended on upstairs balconies. In particular supervise small children around the fireplace and be mindful of the blind cords on our windows. 

 

  • Even though we are in a cute little village at the end of the road please lock the house when you leave for the beach or other outing.

 

 

 

  • At both Metta and Myaree all bed linen and towels are included. Please remember to BYO beach towels.
